Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat: Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan is an academic journal, published by Islamic Community Development of Departement, Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta since 2017, cooperation with Perkumpulan Pengembangan Masyarakatan Islam (P2MI) and Asosiasi Pembangunan Sosial Indonesia (APSI). Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat always places empowerment studies in the central focus on academic inquiry and invites any comprehensive observation of multidiscipline studies. This journal, serving as a forum for the study of community development in Indonesia and other parts of the world within its local and challenging global context, supports focused studies of a particular theme and interdisciplinary studies. The subject covers textual and fieldwork studies with a perspective on social development. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched the studies published in the journal. Although not from the beginning Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat presents highly qualified scholarly articles, improvement—in terms format, style, and academic quality—never ceases. Although the main language used in writing the article is Indonesian, there is a possibility to publish the articles in English. With the fair procedure of peer-review, Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat continues publishing researches and studies pertinent to empowerment studies with various dimensions and approaches. Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, published biannually in May and November, as the journal of the study of empowerment studies. Contains the writings that summarized the results of research and conceptual thinking in the field of community development. The publication is provided in two versions: print and electronic.
