Abstract
Bagi Tjokroaminoto, Islam dan sosialisme bukanlah dua kutub yang berseberangan dan menjadi pertentangan. Justru sebaliknya, keduanya bisa saling melengkapi dan menghasilkan perpaduan yang sangat apik. Tjokroaminoto adalah salah satu tokoh muslim pertama di Indonesia yang menggagas perpaduan Islam dan sosialisme untuk pertama kalinya. For Tjokroaminoto, Islam and socialism are not two opposite poles and are in conflict. On the contrary, they can complement each other and produce a very neat mixture. Tjokroaminoto is one of the first Muslim figures in Indonesia to initiate a blend of Islam and socialism for the first time.
