Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Keluarga Masa Pandemi Covid 19

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to find character education activities during the COVID-19 pandemic in families in Babussalam Langkat. In the study, 50 parents were assigned as respondents and data was collected using questionnaires, interviews, documentation and in-depth observations. After analyzing the information on the answers to the questionnaire from 50 parent respondents, the results of interviews with several parents and students (teenagers), Tuan Guru and the Village Head and supported by observational data, several research results were concluded. In particular, this research has found several character education activities in the family in the Babussalam community of Langkat Regency. That the people of Babussalam as practitioners of the Naqsyabandiyah congregation have carried out character education in the family during the COVID-19 pandemic, even since the establishment of the Babussalam village. The methods and patterns of education carried out by parents are: habituation, advice, example, cohesiveness, communicative, affectionate and gentle, consistent, commitment, togetherness and deliberation. The character values instilled in students (children) include: Religious character, caring, affection, responsibility, respect and honoring teachers and parents, likes to study, socialize and friendship, compact and likes to help and deliberation. . Keywords : Education, Character, Family,Pandemic AbstrakPenelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menemukan kegiatan pendidikan karakter di masa pandemi covid-19 dalam keluarga di Babussalam Langkat. Dalam penelitian ditetapkan 50 orang tua sebagai responden dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrumen angket, wawancara, dokumentasi serta observasi mendalam.  Setelah menganalisis informasi jawaban angket dari 50 responden orang tua, hasil wawancara dengan beberapa orang tua dan siswa (anak remaja), Tuan Guru dan Kepala Desa serta didukung dengan data observasi maka disimpulkan beberapa hasil penelitian. Secara khusus penelitian ini telah menemukan beberapa kegiatan pendidikan karakter dalam keluarga pada masyarakat Babussalam Kabupaten Langkat. Bahwa masyarakat Babussalam sebagai pengamal tarekat Naqsyabandiyah telah melakukan pendidikan karakter  dalam keluarga dimasa pandemi covid-19 bahkan sudah lama sejak berdirinya kampung Babussalam. Metode dan pola pendidikan yang dilakukan orang tua adalah : pembiasaan, nasihat, ketauladanan, kekompakan, komunikatif, kasih sayang dan lemah lembut, konsisten, komitmen, kebersamaan dan musyawarah. Adapun nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan terhadap siswa (anak-anak) antara lain adalah : Karakter religius, kepedulian, kasih sayang, tanggungjawab, hormat dan memuliakan guru dan orang tua, gemar menuntut ilmu, bergaul dan silaturrahim, kompak dan gemar menolong serta musyawarah.Kata Kunci : Pendidikan, Karakter,Keluarga,Pandemi
