Islam pays great attention to inter-religious tolerance. In the Quran, there are many verses that discuss about tolerance between religions, but here, will be discuss only the six verses of surah al-Kâfirûn, because the content of surah al-Kâfirûn is a social capital and the sensitivity of the Quran to multi-religious social life and Islam which is very tolerant of different religions. This research is a library research, where the researcher will describe the interpretation of each verse in surah al-Kâfirûn and then analyzed to obtain conclusions about the concept of inter-religous tolerance in surah al-Kâfirûn according to Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi and its implementation in Brunei Darussalam. While implementaion research in Brunei Darussalm uses library research. The data is obtained from the Brunei Darussalam law book, government websites, and books related to Brunei Darussalam. The results of the analysis of the concept of tolerance between religions in surah al-Kâfirûn according to Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi in the book Tafsîr al-Marâghî revealed that Islam recognizes the existence of other religions and allow its people to interact with non-muslim but forbids compromise in the field of faith and worship because Islam explicity rejects polytheism, worship or laws found in other religions. Related to the implementation of Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi’s interpretation in surah al-Kâfirûn in Brunei Darussalam is the same, as in similar, where non-muslim there are free to practice their religion and be treated well, as long as they follow the law there.
