ACCULTURATION OF BATUMBANG APAM TRADITION VALUES IN HULU SUNGAI SELATAN
Abstract
Each region has its own culture, customs, and traditions. This tradition is unique and wealthy that should be preserved and preserved so that this tradition does not become extinct. The Batumbang Apam tradition is no exception in Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency. The approach used in this article uses anthropology to understand in depth the meaning contained in the object of research. This article also uses a qualitative descriptive method. data collected The results of this article through interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that the motifs carried out by the batumbang apam tradition include the fulfillment of prayers, vows, and gratitude for the birth of a child which is carried out on every holiday, both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.Keywords :Acculturation, Batumbang Apam, Tradition
