Perilaku Konsumtif Belanja Online Mahasiswa IAIN Palangka Raya

Abstract

Technology advancement is an absolute thing which already happened in this era, various form of this technology advancement built to human importance.  Almost all life aspect need technology system no exception for trade process system until now, at least transaction method for trade in online, beside give advancement but also give impact to its user.  Shopping behavior as gift from technology advancement cause behavioral deviation like consumptive/consumerism excessively.  Based on that thing, the research objective was to knew the form of consumptive behavior especially on students at IAIN Palangka Raya and the background factors of consumptive behavior on students at IAIN Palangka Raya.  The method that used in this research was qualitative method.  There were primary and secondary data in this research.  Primary data got from interview with six students of IAIN Palangka Raya as informants that consisted by SLM, SNY, EP, NN, SM, NFA and used purposive sampling-snowball sampling technique.  Secondary data got from books, pictures, journals, and other source.  Data collection technique used interview, observation, and documentation.  Data analysis technique used descriptive analytic.The result showed that form of consumptive behavior on students more dominated to fulfilled fashion need, this thing can be seen from process that students in teenage phases looked for their identity through online shopping then the desire to satisfied themselves and followed the trend so can be accepted by their social group.  There were two background factors, first internal factor like desire or encouragement from inside and the second external factors like influence from social environment and also technology advancement.Keywords: Behavior, Consumptive, Belanja Online, Mahasiswa
