Nicholas of Cusa. Cusa's thinking has undergone several changes in several of his works, in connection with the influences of negative theology, humanism, scholasticism, nominalism, and the philosophy of Neo-Platonism. Nevertheless, Coincidentia Oppositorum is still a central theme in all of Cusa's work. Starting in the 18th century until the present, thinkers believe that Cusa's thoughts on the Coincidentia Oppositorum deserve to be reappointed as an academic discussion. Some thinkers have even linked Cusa's theological concept with secular sciences. Based on this background, this paper was written to describe Cusa's thoughts on the Coincidentia Oppositorum, then analyze the contribution of these thoughts to the integration of theology with sciences such as mathematics, science, psychology, and philosophy. The thesis of this paper is that Cusa's thought regarding the Coincidentia Oppositorum is still relevant to be discussed today, it can even provide a unio oppositorum between theology and other sciences. AbstrakKonsep Coincidentia Oppositorum adalah tema utama dalam pemikiran Nicholas of Cusa. Pemikiran Cusa sempat mengalami beberapa perubahan dalam beberapa karyanya, sehubungan dengan pengaruh-pengaruh teologi negatif, humanisme, skolastisisme, nominalisme, dan filsafat Neo-Platonisme. Namun demikian, Coincidentia Oppositorum masih merupakan tema sentral dalam semua karya Cusa. Dimulai pada abad ke-18 sampai saat ini, para pemikir meyakini bahwa pemikiran Cusa mengenai Coincidentia Oppositorum layak diangkat kembali sebagai sebuah pembahasan akademik. Beberapa pemikir bahkan menghubungkan konsep teologis Cusa ini dengan ilmu-ilmu sekuler. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, paper ini dibuat untuk mendeskripsikan pemikiran Cusa mengenai Coincidentia Oppositorum, kemudian menganalisa sumbangsih pemikiran tersebut bagi integrasi teologi dengan ilmu-ilmu pengetahuan seperti matematika, sains, psikologi, dan filsafat. Tesis paper ini adalah pemikiran Cusa mengenai Coincidentia Oppositorum masih relevan diperbincangkan pada masa kini, bahkan dapat memberikan unio oppositorum antara teologi dan ilmu-ilmu pengetahuan lainnya.Kata Kunci: Coincidentia Oppositorum, Nicholas of Cusa, teologi negatif, teologi mistis
