PENGARUH EVALUASI DALAM IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN BERBASIS SEKOLAH MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN BALANCED SCORE-CARD TERHADAP MUTU SEKOLAH DI SMA NEGERI 5 YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

This study aims to know and measure the impact of assessments in the application of school-based management (SBM) using a balanced score-card (BSC) approach for school quality. The research method used is a quantitative-correlative by testing relationships and the influence of independent variables that are assessments of the application of school-based management with a balanced score-card approach to the dependent variable that is the quality of school. The research location was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Yogyakarta by involving stakeholders of SMA Negeri 5 Yogyakarta, such as students and educators as a target population. The sample withdrawal technique uses a proportional sampling method of 20% of the population with the determination of respondents through the help of a random table. The results showed that the relationship between SBM evaluation with BSC approach and the quality of the school was quite significant and was in moderate category with a correlation score of 0.603. Contribution of SBM evaluation with a BSC approach to school quality was obtained at 1.4% while 98.6% contributed by other factors not examined in this study. As for the partial approach of BSC precisely has a greater influence with each score increase by 1% will increase the quality of the school by 0.153. While analysis of the influence of SBM evaluation obtained by each decrease in the score of 1% will decrease the quality of the school by -0.11. Keywords: School-Based Management, Balanced Score-Card, School Quality Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengukur pengaruh evaluasi dalam penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah (MBS) menggunakan pendekatan balanced score-card (BSC) terhadap mutu sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif-korelatif dengan menguji hubungan dan pengaruh variabel independen yaitu evaluasi penerapan MBS dengan pendekatan BSC terhadap variabel dependen yaitu mutu sekolah. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 5 Yogyakarta dengan melibatkan stakeholders SMA Negeri 5 Yogyakarta seperti peserta didik dan tenaga pendidik sebagai target populasi. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan metode proportional sampling sebesar 20% dari jumlah populasi dengan penentuan responden melalui bantuan tabel random. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara evaluasi MBS melalui pendekatan BSC dengan mutu sekolah cukup signifikan dan masuk kategori sedang dengan skor korelasi sebesar 0,603. Kontribusi evaluasi MBS dengan pendekatan BSC terhadap mutu sekolah diperoleh nilai sebesar 1,4% sedangkan 98,6% dikontribusikan oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Adapun secara parsial pendekatan BSC justru memiliki pengaruh lebih besar dengan setiap kenaikan skor sebesar 1% maka akan meningkatkan mutu sekolah sebesar 0,153. Sedangkan analisis pengaruh evaluasi MBS diperoleh setiap penurunan skor sebesar 1% akan menurunkan mutu sekolah sebesar -0,11.
