MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SOROGAN DAN BANDONGAN DALAM TRADISI PONDOK PESANTREN

Abstract

This article aims to find out and understand about sorogan and bandongan as a learning model that is traditional in boarding schools. As a learning model, sorogan and bandongan have a crucial role, because learning activities in boarding schools generally use both models. This study is a library research. The data were collected through intensive and in-depth studies through searching the literature relevant to the research problem. The data collected were then analyzed using a content analysis model. The results of this study found that (1) The learning model is a conceptual framework in a systematic procedure in organizing teaching and learning activities to achieve certain learning objectives. Its main function is as a guide for instructional designers, educators in planning and carrying out learning activities. (2) The characteristics of sorogan and bandongan are learning models that prioritize individual service approaches and collective services. This model is commonly used by kiai and santri in studying and translating the yellow book. The implication of this study is expected to encourage that sorogan and bandongan can be preserved and developed further as a learning system.
