Based on interviews with teacher's class at SD Negeri Perumnas 5 on November 4, 2021, the data was obtained that there are only a few parents of children with special needs at SD Negeri Perumnas 5  were involved in their children's education. In fact, parental involvement in education is very important. Apart from handing over their children to the school, parents also need to be taught how to handle their children at home to help their children develop optimally. To be able to have these competencies, it is necessary to do learning or training for parents. The implementation of education by empowering parents is one way to optimize children's development. This research uses descriptive qualitative research.
