Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Bagi ABK Tunagrahita
Abstract
Not all children are born in a perfect state, while children are born with mental deficiencies or abnormal children. They are said to be abnormal because they are slower than their peers. As humans were created, they are gifted with brains but they are given limitations in intelligence. Therefore, children who have mental deficiencies are slower to think than other normal children. However, the existence of these shortcomings does not prevent them from continuing to carry out the taklif law which is mandatory for all creatures regardless of the person's background. It is the duty of Islamic education to continue to develop the potential they have in terms of humanity, physics, skills, intelligence, morals, and so on. So that even with their shortcomings they can still carry out the functions of life as a servant of God. Seeing this explanation, it is important for educators to continue to develop Islamic education models for Children with Special Needs. So that later they will still have the experience, ability, and understanding of Islamic learning well even though they are still considered different from normal children in general. Islamic learning teachings for children with special needs must be officially developed according to their circumstances, namely how their character and abilities can be taught, in the sense that the learning methods used must be adapted to their intelligence level. In this case, a professional teacher is needed by paying attention to the various qualifications they have. One of them is a teacher who has more value in the form of good communication
