Some features of international security in the post-Cold War era

Abstract

Although peace, cooperation and development are the prevailing tendency of international relations, the post-Cold War world has been simultaneously facing more and more complex security challenges. It is noticeable that international security threats in the post-Cold War era have a growing tendency to increase in number, are more diverse in causes and manifestations, more complicated and unpredictable, with rapid spillover and resonance between the risks getting increasingly clear.Then the international security threats in post-Cold War era are more difficult to control and address than those in previous periods. The research paper will mention changes in perception of Vietnam as well as of the world about the concept of international security in the post-Cold War era and focus on analyzing some salient features of international security in this period.
