Optimization design for gear box of Thaco tractor

Abstract

Agricultural tractors are one of the key means to successfully implement agricultural mechanization in Vietnam. Choosing the right type of transmission and gearbox ensures the suitability when the tractor works in Vietnamese fields. On the basis of using Unigraphics NXCAD and SIMCENTER software, we have conducted a reasonable analysis and selection of transmission system configuration of Thaco tractor including main gearboxes, drive axles and other componenents, thereby calculating the reasonable gear ratios of transmission system. On the other hand, we have also designed the simulation to optimize the technical parameters and structure of transmission system to find out the optimal specifications that match the working ability of THACO tractor on typical land in Vietnam. The research results show that the choice of transmission system of this tractor is suitable in Vietnamese conditions.
