Application of fuzzy logic for fault diagnosis of the engine fuel system of Hamm roller

Abstract

Fuzzy logic is widely studied and applied in many fields, such as engineering, medicine, cybernetics, and economics. The application of fuzzy logic in controlling and diagnosing systems of automobiles and specialized machines has attracted increasing interest in recent years. This paper presents research on fuzzy logic in the fault diagnosis of the engine fuel system of Hamm roller. The fuzzy diagnostic system is built up including the following steps: selecting the input and output parameters, setting the parameter characteristics, developing a rule set with Mamdani fuzzy rule, and defuzzification with the centiod method. The simulation of the designed fuzzy system is performed with the toolbox of Fuzzy Logic Designer in Matlab software. The results show that the diagnostic fuzzy system has performed smoothly and effectively with accurate and reliable results.
