The role of the first generation of Vietnam architecture in creating vietnamese national archiecture theory base

Abstract

Abstract - During the colonial period, the French officially founded The Indo - China College of Fine Arts in Hanoi (Ecole des Beaux-Arts de l’Indochine).The mission of the University is to educate the artists and architects for the indigenous countries;the school\'s diploma is as valid as that in France itself. The first generation of Vietnamese Architects was successfully trained in this college. After Vietnam national liberation, they had key positions in the field of architecture and urban planning. Our article focuses on analyzing their designing views through their works, through which we can prove their role and influence in creating important national architecture theory base for Vietnam.
