Study on luminesence of Eu2+, Dy3+ in the aluminate

Abstract

Photoluminescent materials of BaAl2O4 are doped with ion Eu2+ and Dy3+ made by solid phase reaction method. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) show that the manufactured BaAl2O4 material has a hexagonal phase structure and the presence of ion Eu2+ and Dy3+ does not change the structure of the material. When stimulated by ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 350 nm, the material is highly luminescent in the 500 nm (emission of Eu2+, 4f65d4f7), peaks of 485 nm, 575 nm, 660 nm (emission of Dy3+, 4F9/26H15/2, 6H13/2, 6H11/2). Discussions have focused on investigating the network structure and luminescent characteristics of BaAl2O4: Eu2+,Dy3+ materials.
