Factors effecting the decision to apply high technologies into cow raising in Central Highlands

Abstract

The decision to apply technology is a complex process, including the application of new technologies and traditional engineering technologies. Therefore, the study of technological application changes in agriculture has become a vibrant research field since the early 20th century. And studying technologies suitable for small-scale farmers in developed countries becomes top priority. This papper uses econometric models to estimate the factors that affect the decision to apply high technologies into cow raising in Central Highlands. The estimated results indicate that the two important determinants are gender and academic level. Based on the quantitative results, the empirical study serves as foundation for some policy reccommendations to boost applying high technologies into cow raising in the region. Particularly, high-tech human resource training should be a priority.
