PENDIDIKAN DAN NILAI-NILAI BUDAYA: PERBANDINGAN PENDIDIKAN ANTARA INDONESIA, AUSTRALIA, USA DAN JEPANG
Abstract
Education is the effort in establishing the culture of certain society in creeating a modern, advance and harmony life, based on the mutual beliefs of culture in certain community. Education and culture are bonded each other by values. The values of culture are the values that bonded in the community to manage the harmony, integration and balance of the life of community itself. The comparison of education among Indonesia, Australia, USA and Japan is the culture that lives and rooted in the history of USA that education has become the task for the family and community. The education system in Australia is more flexible than Indonesia, while the Japan applies the humanistic education system than Indonesia that applies the principle of behavioristic, which is more dehumanistics in its education system.
