PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW DALAM MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) To know the increasing of students’ learning activities of Building Science through Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model, Jigsaw in class X Building Design Engineering Program at SMK Negeri 1 Sitolu O'ri, (2) To know the increasing of learning outcomes in competency standards of understanding Building Materials through implementing Jigsaw cooperative learning model in class X Building Design Engineering Program at SMK Negeri 1 Sitolu O'ri. This type of research was Classroom Action Research. This data was collected through observation and tests of student learning outcomes. The results show that the average percentage of student activity in the first cycle is 59.02% and the average percentage of student activity in cycle 2 is increased to 87.14%. Furthermore the percentage of student learning outcomes that is completed in cycle I is 43.75 %, While the presentation of students who complete learning in the second cycle is 87.50%. This has reached the determined criteria of ? 70%. It is proved that cooperative type jigsaw learning can improve the activity and learning outcomes of class X students in Building Design Engineering Program in SMK Negeri 1 Sitolu Ori.
