As the students of class XI OTKP at SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Barat in 2019/2020 mostly failed in the middle semester test of English subject, the researcher notified problems such: a) The students were unable to develop their ideas and; b) The students were unable develop ideas in asking and giving information. Thus, CAR was carried out to develop the students’ ability in achieving better final result. Through single cycle, the result showed that in the 1st meeting, 75 % of the students speaking ability were got developed, while in the 2nd meeting, 87,5 % of the students speaking were developed, and finally in the 3rd meeting 100 % were developed with the score above KKM. It is concluded that Mind Movies strategy developed the speaking ability of the students. Finally, the researcher writes some suggestion, namely: 1) Fellow English teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Barat is suggested to use Mind Movies Strategy to develop the students’ ability in speaking skill, and 2) The future researchers need to conduct the relevant research by using Mind Movies Strategy in English speaking competence.
