HUBUNGAN PERILAKU PROKRASTINASI TERHADAP TINGKAT STRES MAHASISWA BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING IKIP GUNUNGSITOLI

Abstract

Purpose of the research was to analyze a relationship of procrastination behavior on students’ stress level. The design was quantitative method. The sample was the students of Guidance and Counselling study program of IKIP Gunungsitoli which the total numbers were 30 persons. Technique of collecting data was by using questionnaires. Based on the research finding, it is concluded that 1) r = 0.405 with the significant level was 0.000 (p<0.05) so that the hypothesis which was proposed was acceptable, which indicated there is a relationship of procrastination behavior on students’ stress level. The higher procrastination behavior is, the higher stress level is. Otherwise the lower procrastination behavior is, the lower stress level is. 2) Based on procrastination behavior category, the students as subject of the research had procrastination behavior in mediocre level or 80%. 3) R square = 0.164. It means procrastination behavior variable contribution was 16.4 % on stress level variable.
