EFEKTIVITAS PENDEKATAN CONTEKSTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA SMP NEGERI 7 ALASA

Abstract

The research was aimed to know how effective the use of CTL on students’ concept comprehension ability and mathematical reasoning at SMP Negeri 7 Alasa in 2019/2020. The method was Pseudo Experiment Research with pretest posttest control group design. Sample was the students of class VIII-A as control group and class VIII-B as experiment group. As the result of students’ concept comprehension ability was 53.68 for control group while 67.19 for experiment group. Mathematical reasoning result was 39.22 for control group while 39.84 for experiment group. As a conclusion, the implementation of CTL in teaching Mathematic is effective to increase the students’ concept comprehension ability and mathematical reasoning.
