Abstract

The low score of students in Civics subject was caused by the lack of the ability of teachers to choose and apply various learning models. The solution given by the researcher to overcome this problem was to take action on the learning process in the form of classroom action research on Civics subjects through the application of the ATI type learning model (Aptitude Treatment Interaction) in the learning process. ATI learning model (Aptitude Treatment Interaction) is a learning model that has a number of learning models (treatment) which are effectively used for certain individuals according to their respective abilities. This study consisted of two cycles where for each cycle starting from planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The purpose of this study was to improve the students’ learning outcomes in Civics subjects through the application of the ATI type learning model and to describe the implementation of the learning process in Civics subjects through the application of the ATI type learning model (Aptitude Treatment Interaction). This research was conducted from August to September 2018 in class V-A SDN 075044 Saewe with 15 students, 10 boys and 5 girls. The results of the study were the students’ learning outcomes in Civics lessons through the application of the type of ATI (Aptitude Treatment Interaction) learning model was increased, where at the end of the cycle the average student learning outcomes were 83 with a percentage of 80% completeness and the average result of reflection at the end of the cycle reached 83. % is in the good category, so the learning process in Civics subjects is improved through the application of the ATI type learning model (Aptitude Treatment Interaction). Thus it can be concluded that student learning outcomes in Civics lessons was increased through the application of the ATI type learning model (Aptitude Treatment Interaction) and the learning process in Civics subjects was improved through the application of the ATI type learning model (Aptitude Treatment Interaction).
