The symbol "Land" in Vietnamese novels after 1986 through representative novels
Abstract
For literature, there are many different ways to explain the work.One of them is clarifying the meaning of the symbols in the work, which is an interesting direction. Surveying Vietnamese novels from 1986 to 2000, we have found that there are many symbols among which the land symbol contains a lot of different meanings about people and life. In this article, the land symbol has the meaning of beauty of prosperity, protection and liberation, and it is also the symbol of destruction and devastation. With many different variations, land symbol also holds the cultural foundations of the nation, as well as the ability to become new symbols and prototypes, containing the new meanings of contemporary culture.
