Abstract: This article aims to see more about tabayyun and the law as well as the urgency of tabayyun in tackling hoax news in this digital age. The steps taken in this article describe tabayyun law and how to deal with hoax news in the digital age from the perspective of jurisprudence. This research is a type of library research using qualitative methods. The results of this study are that the tabayyun law can be broadly categorized into three, namely mandatory whether the news delivered by the wicked or not, mandatory if the conveyer of the news is doubtful of fairness (fasiq) and mandatory if the news transmitter is a fasiq person and tabayyun is recommended if the news transmitter is a fair person. The way to deal with hoax news in this digital era is (1) must know the identity of the news conveyor, check whether the news content is true or not, and if the truth is known then it is seen maslahah or its harm. (2) the contents of the news must be checked whether it is true or not by finding other reliable sources or coming directly to see the facts. (3) If it is delivered by a fair person, then to strengthen the news it is better to look for other sources first. Keyword: Tabayyun, News Hoax
