Implementasi Pembelajaran dengan Pendekatan Saintifik (Scientific Approach) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas VIII.A SMP Negeri 12 Mataram

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in social studies learning outcomes through the implementation of learning with the Scientific Approach of Class VIII.A Students of SMP Negeri 12 Mataram Odd Semester in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR), using two cycles through the stages of planning, implementing action, observation, and reflection. As subjects in this study were students of class VIII.A SMP Negeri 12 Mataram in the 2019/2020 academic year with a total of 31 students, consisting of 19 male students and 12 female students. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The application of the scientific approach in social studies learning can improve student learning outcomes when teaching and learning activities take place, that of the total number of students, namely 31 people in initial conditions, students who have a good level of attention are 20 students. or if the percentage is 64.52%. In the first cycle stage there were 24 students or if the percentage was 77.42%, this proves an increase of 12.9% from the initial conditions. Then in the second cycle stage students whose attention was categorized very well were 29 students or 93.55%. This proves an increase of 16.13% from cycle I; 2) The application of the scientific approach (scientific approach) in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 12 Mataram has used the 2013 curriculum, so that it has implemented a scientific approach, the implementation of previous learning using the method is still general. The use of the previous method students was less independent and tended to be active teachers. This latest education curriculum is directed to develop and build the character of potential students.
