Peningkatan Kemampuan Menulis Puisi Siswa dengan Teknik Pemodelan di Kelas VII.3 SMPN 1 Keruak

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to find out the improvement of students' poetry writing skills with modeling techniques in class VII.3 SMP Negeri 1 Keruak. The research consisted of two cycles and was held six times. The research data was taken from the initial activity in the form of the average value of daily tests, the value of the first cycle test and the second learning to write poetry with modeling techniques. Then the data is analyzed by determining the average and percentage to find out the improvement in students' poetry writing abilities. The results showed an increase in the ability to write poetry for grade VII.3 students at SMP Negeri 1 Keruak after the following two actions: the average results on the first act of the equivalent technical model were 27.57 or 68.28%. Then, the result of the second action by expert engineering modeling is 31.84 or 78.86%. The conclusion from this study that modeling techniques can improve students' poetry writing skills and can be an alternative choice for teachers in learning to write poetry.
