The problem in this study is the low motivation to learn grade II students at SDN Jelupang 01, South Tangerang City in learning mathematics. That right is because the learning system given by the teacher in the class is still not very attractive, so that it causes students to be less enthusiastic in following the lessons. This research was conducted with the aim of increasing the motivation of students in class II at SDN Jelupang 01, South Tangerang City in learning Mathematics using picture media. This research method consists of two classes of class action and each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively and quantitatively using the formula of the percentage (%) questionnaire data to see the successful application of the use of media images in the classroom in order to increase student motivation. Based on observations of teacher activities in using media images in the first cycle obtained 74.58%, while in the second cycle gained 89.58%. This shows an increase in teacher activity in an effort to increase student motivation and student activity. And the results of observations of student learning motivation there is an increase from the first cycle obtained 72.15% to 85.24% in the second cycle. This means that there is an increase in the average student motivation to increase by 15.09%. Based on the research results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of learning by using media images can increase student motivation in learning mathematics given by teachers to students at the school.
