Komunikasi Interpersonal sebagai cara Akulturasi Budaya Imigran Afrika dengan Masyarakat Lokal di Shelter House Puspa Agro Sidoarjo

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of cultural acculturation of African immigrant groups from Sudan and Somalia with local users of the Puspa Agro Flats in Sidoarjo. This study uses the theory of intercultural communication, communication in acculturation. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews and observations, supported by relevant literature with a focus on African immigrants and also local residents of the Sidoarjo agro puspa flats. The method used is purposive sampling, this technique uses informants who have been determined or have predetermined criteria to support this research. The results of the research by African immigrants were carried out by directly interacting with the local occupation of puspa agro flats and trying to communicate, to create a self-image so immigrants took part in sports and shopping in their new environment. Communication persona Indonesian is used by African immigrants only with local residents of the agro puspa flats and if they are with immigrant groups, they use the language of the country. by the immigration office in 2018, and until now no longer exists.
