The Efforts of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Increasing Student Motivation in Kindergarten Al-Ikhlas

Abstract

The success of an education is more influenced by education personnel, especially teachers, and even other components including school principals, owners, parents and the environment as well as all parties who play a role in facilitating the process of teacher movement in achieving educational goals. Therefore the role here greatly affects the level of student learning activities in the teaching and learning process, even the teacher's task is not only to provide knowledge but also as a planner, guide, evaluator and motivator for students. The results showed that the efforts that can be made by Islamic religious teachers in increasing student motivation can be in the form of: giving rewards, fostering interest, explaining the ultimate goal of learning, giving assignments, holding tests, giving numbers for students, and holding a competition. Meanwhile, supporting factors that can increase student learning motivation at TKA Al-Ikhlas in Babadan Village are: adequate facilities and infrastructure, support from other teachers, full support from the principal, awareness of students, motivation or support from both parents. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors for increasing student motivation at TKA Al-Ikhlas in Babadan Village include: background factors of parents, socio-economic conditions and school environment that are less conducive.
