Increasing the Role of Madrasah Principals in Conducting Academic Supervision

Abstract

The purpose of school action research is to determine the role of the Madrasah Principal in conducting academic supervision of MTs Al-Hilal Tegalgubug teachers in Cirebon Regency. PTS is carried out based on the following stages: "(1) planning actions, (2) carrying out actions, (3) carrying out observations, (4) reflecting. The results showed that the management of Madrasah principals from the results of monitoring and evaluation in each cycle had increased, namely: in the first cycle showed a sufficient category (48%), in the second cycle showed a very good category (84%). The performance of the head of Madrasah in conducting academic supervision in each cycle has increased, namely: in the first cycle, the category was sufficient (64%); in cycle II showed a very good category (84%). The value of teacher education administration in carrying out teaching and learning tasks as a result of academic supervision in each cycle, which is an increase in cycle I and cycle II, namely: at the beginning before the class action averaged 53.3, in cycle I after the classroom action research reached an average 61.8, and in the second cycle experienced a significant increase reaching an average of 83.4.
