Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of pictorial story media in improving students' reading abilities. The method used in this research is the analysis method with a content analysis model. Here the researchers analyzed the theses of Arabic language education students especially in the Ar Raniry Banda Aceh UIN campus relating to the use of pictorial story media to improve students' ability to read and understand Arabic texts. The method used to collect data is the document method. The results of this study indicate that the use of pictorial story media is very effective in improving students' ability to read.
