Urban Heat Island di Kota Bandung dan Faktor Pendorongnya
Abstract
Bandung is one of big cities in Java that is well-known for the cool environment. However, some recent reports state that the air temperature in Bandung rises signifi cantly associated to the physical development, leading an urban heat island (UHI) phenomenon there. The aim of this study is to identify the primary driver of UHI in Bandung. The result shows the development of the density of lowrise buildings is the primary driver as it increases the heavyweight building material that absorbing heat and emitting it on night.
