Akar Penyebab Sisa Material Besi Beton pada Proyek Konstruksi (Studi Kasus pada Satu Perusahaan Kontraktor Gred 7)
Abstract
Waste material is becoming a particular concern in the current construction projects. Each construction project will defi nitely generate waste material. This study aimed to determine the root causes of steel bar waste in construction projects in Surabaya, through a case study on a grade 7 construction company. Data were collected by questionnaire survey and interviews. The results of this research show that there are fi ve dominant factors causing the steel bar material wastage, i.e. miscalculated during material order process, lack of staff knowledge and skill on work methods and site planning, error during cutting process, and lack of concentration and coordination among stakeholders.
