Dukungan Keluarga pada Ibu Bekerja dengan Keberhasilan ASI Eksklusif

Abstract

Breast milk is the best nutrition for newborn babies as it contains various components of antibodies, complete nutritional and digestible by new born compared to infant formula. Breastfeeding to infants is very simple to administer, for the mother at any time can be in conditions close to the baby, but this condition is very different from the conditions of working mothers. Support from family and relatives, is one of the factors behind the success of exclusive breastfeeding, especially in working mother. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of family support in working mother with exclusive breast feeding success. Design research use analytic techniques, survey sampling with retrospective sampling, the number of samples as many as 30 respondents. Data is analyzed using chi-square with a level of signifi cance of p < 0.05 The results showed the majority of respondents, who received good support from family managed to give exclusive breast feeding to their babies. Suggestions to expand coverage to the exclusive breast feeding working mothers by providing support in terms of emotions, judgments, instruments and information to mothers work both from the family and the institution where the mother works.
