Today, there are many different types of methods developed in learning the Koran. Everything has advantages and disadvantages. One method that is often done in learning the Koran, namely the method of talaqqi or which is often referred to as the sorogan method. This study aims to determine the effect of the talaqqi method, the ability to read the Koran and the influence of the implementation of the talaqqi method on the ability to recite the Koran in Nurul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School. This research uses inferential descriptive methods. With statistical analysis, the authors process numerical data obtained from 40 respondents, so that it can be known whether or not the influence of the implementation of the talaqqi method on the ability to read the Koran in Nurul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School. The results of this study are as follows: for the X variable (the effect of the talaqqi method) with an average value of this variable equal to 157 with good criteria. Then for variable Y (ability to recite the Koran), the average value of this variable is 155.4 with good criteria. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the implementation of the talaqqi method on the ability to read the Koran in the Nurul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School because t_count is greater than t_ (table) (4.1792> 2.0244) with an effect of 31.49%, where the value r = 0.5611 , which gets the "medium" category. While the remaining 68.51% is influenced by other variables not examined by the author and is thought to affect the ability to read the Koran.Keywords: Talaqqi, Al Quran Method, Nurul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School                                             AbstrakDewasa ini, banyak sekali berkembang berbagai macam metode dalam pembelajaran Alquran. Semuanya memiliki kekurangan dan kelebihan. Salah satu metode yang sering dilakukan dalam pembelajaran Alquran, yaitu metode talaqqi atau yang sering disebut dengan metode sorogan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode talaqqi, kemampuan membaca Alquran dan pengaruh pelaksanaan metode talaqqi terhadap kemampuan membaca Alquran di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hikmah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif inferensial. Dengan analisis statistik, penulis mengolah data-data angka yang didapat dari 40 responden, sehingga dapat diketahui besar atau tidaknya pengaruh pelaksanaan metode talaqqi terhadap kemampuan membaca Alquran santri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hikmah. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: untuk variabel X (pengaruh metode talaqqi) dengan nilai rata-rata dari variabel ini sebesar 157 dengan kriteria baik. Kemudian untuk variabel Y (kemampuan membaca Alquran), nilai rata-rata dari variabel ini sebesar 155,4 dengan kriteria baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pelaksanaan metode talaqqi terhadap kemampuan membaca Alquran santri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Hikmah karena  lebih besar dari  (4.1792 > 2.0244) dengan pengaruh sebesar 31.49%, di mana nilai r = 0.5611, yang mendapatkan kategori “sedang”. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 68.51 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti oleh penulis dan diduga akan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca Alquran.Kata kunci: Talaqqi, Metode al Quran, Pesantren Nurul Hikmah
