Abstract This research presents a philosophical view originating from Ayatullah Muhammad Taqi Mizbah Yazdi concerning the Epistemology of Islam and its relevance in education. Epistemologically, the urge in humans to engage in learning porses basically comes from the basic tendency of the human soul (nafs) to know everything, and this process simultaneously expresses the movement of the soul itself to connect with reality or the highest reality. Thus, philosophically we cannot deny that there is a relationship between cognitive activities and the perfection of the human soul. These two things are very interrelated in terms of the aspects of the reality of the human soul. This phenomenon is a fundamental expression of the human soul that is driven to reach perfection. Keywords: Epistemology, Islam, Education, Perfection, Soul Abstrak Riset ini mengetengahkan pandangan filosofis yang berasal dari Ayatullah Muhammad Taqi Mizbah Yazdi mengenai Epistemologi Islam dan relevansinya dalam pendidikan. Secara epistemologis, dorongan dalam diri manusia untuk terlibat dalam porses belajar pada dasarnya bersumber kecendrungan dasar jiwa (nafs) manusia untuk mengetahui segala sesuatu, dan proses ini secara simultan mengungkapkan gerak jiwa itu sendiri untuk terhubung dengan kenyataan atau realitas tertinggi. Dengan demikian Secara filosofis kita tidak bisa menyangkal adanya hubungan antara aktifitas koginitif dengan kesempurnaan jiwa manusia. Kedua hal ini sangat saling berkaitan ditinjau dari aspek realitas jiwa manusia. Femonena ini adalah ekspresi mendasar dari jiwa manusia yang terdorong untuk mencapai kesempurnaan.
