AbstractThere is contradiction in thinking about putting law as an institution that will improve people’s lives and lives. On one side of the law is placed as an institution that can improve that attitudes and behavior of the people not to commit various criminal acts (normative functions of the law). On the other hand it turns out that the law continues to be in the spotlight because it is unable to realize justice so that there are still various criminal acts. In this area the urgency of religious values to support the upholding of justice because justice is the deepest aspect of religious communityKey Word : Entity, Religiositas AbstrakKontradiksi berfikir terjadi dalam menempatkan hukum sebagai institusi yang akan memperbaiki hidup dan kehidupan masyarakat. Pada satu sisi hukum ditempatkan sebagai institusi yang bisa memperbaiki sikap dan prilaku masyarakat untuk tidak melakukan berbagai tindak pidana (fungsi normatif hukum perundang-undangan). Pada sisi lain ternyata hukum tetap saja hingga kini menjadi sorotan karena tidak mampu mewujudkan keadilan sehingga tetap saja terjadi berbagai tindak pidana. Pada ranah inilah urgensi nilai religiositas untuk mendukung tegaknya keadilan oleh karena keadilan adalah aspek terdalam dari diri umat beragama. Kata Kunci : Entitas, Religiositas
