Abstract
<p>The purpose of this paper is to explain about Muhammad Arsyad Thalib Lubis who is a scholar who raised Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah. Muhammad Arsyad Thalib Lubis made a big contribution in advancing Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah, namely maintaining the stability of society and improving education in North Sumatra is the desire of the people and coincides with the ideals of the nation in educating the people. His writing explains the activities of a major figure in Al Washliyah in Education, da'wah, social and politics.</p>
