Abstract The quality of education currently still looks less satisfying. Measure of the quality of education can be seen from the academic achievement of their students, namely in the form of examinations and can be seen from the influence of the results of the study on life everyday.  The success of education is determined by many factors, including the factors of teachers, that teachers have the skills in the learning process with its ability to choose the learning model that can deliver success in students. One of the ways a teacher can do is to apply the cooperative learning model type TPS (Think Pair Share). This research was carried out in 1 MIN. This research is a research action class (PTK). The results of the analysis of the data shows that in general the absorbance against students learning material shows an improvement, based on the results of the evaluation of the value of 70.6 who haven't reached a value of KKM on cycle I increased to 80.2 in cycle II.  The average value of daily results of Deuteronomy also has increased. This is demonstrated by the average results of daily class from Deuteronomy 70.3 rating that has not yet reached the value of KKM in the previous year, being the application of cooperative learning after 83.5 type TPS. From the results it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning type TPS can improve student learning outcomes. Ukuran kualitas pendidikan dapat dilihat dari prestasi akademik siswanya, yaitu berupa nilai ujian dan dapat dilihat dari pengaruh hasil belajar terhadap kehidupan sehari-hari. Keberhasilan pendidikan ditentukan oleh banyak faktor, diantaranya faktor guru, yaitu guru yang memiliki keterampilan dalam proses pembelajaran dengan kemampuannya memilih model pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan keberhasilan pada siswa. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan guru adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS (Think Pair Share). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MIN 1 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa secara umum daya serap siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan, berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dengan nilai 70,6 yang belum mencapai nilai KKM pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 80,2 pada siklus II.  Nilai rata-rata hasil ulangan harian juga mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata hasil ulangan harian kelas dari nilai 70,3 yang belum mencapai nilai KKM pada tahun sebelumnya, menjadi 83,5 setelah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatan hasil belajar siswa.  Kata Kunci: Metode Think Pair Share, Hasil Belajar PKn
