Analisis Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis : Dampak Kecerdasan Emosional Pada Materi Operasi Hitung Aljabar

Abstract

This research was based on the background of the large number of Talang Padang PEMNU MTs students who had good mathematical skills but were unable to provide results for them. Efforts to address these challenges, researchers questioned intelligence, emotional intelligence, and mathematical communication of students. This type of research is quantitative research with data analysis techniques used are statistical analysis of linear regression methods. Data collection techniques used in this study were emotional intelligence questionnaires and tests of mathematical communication skills. The subjects in this study were all classes VII A and VII B MTs PEMNU Talang Padang. The independent variable (independent variable) and independent variable (dependent variable) in this study have been explicitly approved. This study resulted in a significant motivation for mathematical communication intelligence in VII grade students of Talang Padang PEMNU MTs. This can be seen from the regression coefficient Y = -1,814 + 0,385 x. This means that every increase in intelligence of students will increase the mathematical communication skills of 0.385. And if students' emotional intelligence is constant (zero), then the mathematical communication ability is -1.814.
