This research aims to reveal how women involvement in politics in South Aceh, what are the factors that influence Ulama’s opinions about women involvement in politics in South Aceh, and how are their perceptions about women involvement in politics in South Aceh. The method used in this research was qualitative (field research), through interviews and observation methods, then literature research (library research). All Information obtained in the field would be interpreted through descriptive analysis. The results obtained in this study. Firstly, the women involvement in politics in South Aceh had developed such as in member of Parliament, candidates, secretary or chief of the commission. Secondly, There Are Ulama’s perception about the involvement of women in politics in South Aceh, which is some Ulama allows women involvement in politics, but women must in maintain their identity as a Muslim. In fact is also Ulama rejects the women involvement in politics because of many obstacles would be faced by women who are less firmly in the leading and decisions. Thirdly, the factors that make the difference of Ulama’s perception women involvement in politics in South Aceh are differences of interpretation of Alquran verses and Hadis, among of them who not really know about politics and also difference education and science basic
