TRADISI SEWELASAN SEBAGAI SISTEM TA‘LIM<M< DI PESANTREN

Abstract

This article describes the sewelasan culture as a learning system in Aolia’ congregation Panggang, Yogyakarta. The data is collected by doing a depth interview and documentation. Sewelasan in Javanese tradition is used to empower the members. Character materials is explored and elaborated from(sira>h) awliya>’ history which is read to trigger the consciousness and closeness to God. The Islamic scholars transform those values in analogy, symbols and dialogue among students.
