TRADISI BISNIS DI PESANTREN

Abstract

This article describes and analyzes the business tradition in Islamic boarding school as an alternative economics empowering for the school and its society. The data is collected by observation, interview and documentation. This study shows that Mamba’ul Ulum boarding school could preserve its life by eco-protective development, e.g. animal husbandry, farming, and cooperative development. Those three activities have a powerful basic in its neighborhood.
