MENEGUHKAN KEMBALI TRADISI PESANTREN DI NUSANTARA
Abstract
This article shows the unique tradition at Islamic boarding school which is always interesting to dicuss. Many prominent people were born and come from boarding schools. Meanwhile, nowadays there are some critiques toward this institution related to its polarization. It could be understood as a way to face the social changes and modernisation. This condition, influence its existence, dynamics, and institution’s role. By doing a library research about pesantren history, the writer beleives that pesantren would be able to survive without losing its identity.
