Tipologi belajar pria; studi kasus mahasiswa program studi pendidikan agama Islam
Abstract
ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan tipologi belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) per-individu. Kajian “Tipologi Belajar Pria†ini mengacu pada konsep David Kolb yang dikenal dengan “Lingkaran Gaya Belajar†(Learning Style Circles).  Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester V (lima ) yang ditentukan secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket disertai probing lewat interview mendalam (depth interview). Analisis kuantitatif deskriptif ditampilkan melalui frekuensi dan prosentase dalam tabel tunggal (single table) dan tabel silang (cross table), sedang analisis kualitatif dilakukan melalui perbandingan (comparative) atas data kuantitatif baik individu maupun kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecenderungan gaya belajar lebih mengarah pada gaya Diverger (27 orang, 39,71%), suatu tipe belajar yang cocok berkarir di bidang seni (art), hiburan (entertainment) dan pelayanan (service) lewat keunggulan imajinasi dan sensitivitas perasaannya; disusul gaya belajar Assimilator (24 orang, 35,29%) dengan kekuatan logika teoritik tepat berkarir di bidang kreativitas keilmuan dan sains. Dua quandrant lainnya yaitu Accommodator (12 orang, 17,65%) dengan orientasi tindakan untuk bidang pemasaran (marketing) serta penjualan (sales), dan Converger (5 orang, 07,35%) yang memiliki peluang ke arah “spesialis†di bidang teknologi melalui aplikasi ide dan konsep keilmuan; secara deskriptif kategorik kurang muncul, baik secara individual, per-kelas, maupun keseluruhan subjek mahasiswa pria yang diteliti.  Kata kunci : tipologi belajar, siswa, pria  Abstrak  [Male Students’ Learning Styles ; A Case Study Of The Students Of Islamic Education Study Program]. The purpose of this research is to describe different learning styles of Islamic Education Program students. The study of learning styles refered to the study of David Kolb namely Learning Style Circles. The subject was semester five students who were selected purposively. Questionnaire and in-depth interview were employed to gather the data. After analyzing the data, the researcher found; 1) a number of 27 students 0r 39,71% possesed diverger learning style which shown by their characteristics of being imaginative and sensitive; This type of learning is predicted to be succeed working in the aspects of art, entertainment, and service, 2) twenty four students (35,29%) showed as having assimilator learning style with the strength on logical thinking with which they can be succeed in science and education, 3) accomodator learning style is owned by twelve students (17,65%) which indicated by action of marketing, 4) five students (7,35%), had converger learning styles from which they had apporunities to be experts in the development of technology through application of idea and knowledge.  Key word;  learning styles, student, male
