Kinerja Tenaga Kependidikan ; Menyoal Peran Supervisi Kepala Sekolah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap informasi tentang dan temuan-temuan tentang peningkatan kinerja tenaga administrasi di MAN 3 kota Jambi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data. Sementara analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menyimpulkan data. Studi ini menemukan 1) tenaga kependidikan kurang responsibel terhadap supervisi yang dilakukan kepala madrasah, 2) tenaga kependidikan kurang profesional dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab, dan 3) peningkatan kinerja masih belum intens. Adapun hasil dari analisis data diperoleh informasi bahwa kegiatan supervisi yang dilakukan kepala Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 kota Jambi belum mampu meningkatkan kinerja tenaga kependidikan secara optimal, disebabkan beberapa faktor: a) faktor individual yang masih sulit dibentuk, b) terdapat beberapa tenaga kependidikan yang cukup senior sehingga membutuhkan waktu lama dalam proses supervisi, c) kondisi madrasah yang masih tergolong baru. This study is aimed to reveal the information and findings of administrative staff’s performance improvement at MAN 3 Jambi. The study employed qualitative approach through the use of interview, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed by using data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. From the result of study, it was found that 1) educational staffs were less responsible to the supervision carried out by the principal, 2) educational staffs were less professional in carrying out duties and responsibilities, and 3) performance improvement was not yet intense. In addition, based on data analysis, it was found that the supervision carried out by the principal of MAN 3 Jambi has not been able to improve optimally the educational staffs’ performance, due to several factors: a) the individual factor which is difficult to develop, b) there were several senior educational staffs so it required a long time in the process of supervision, c) the condition of school is still relatively new Keyword: Performance, supervision, principal
