REAKTUALISASI NILAI-NILAI TASAWUF DALAM MENATA KEHIDUPAN MODERN
Abstract
Modernization era marked with the development of science and technology as will as rationalism , empirism, and positivism have created a crisis of spirituality, as shown by the degradation of people morality. It was believed that modernity supported progressivity. But in contrast, it has emerged a symptom of so called with the agony modernization.This is because of no balancing improvement between physic and spirituality. Therefore, if society then return to religious values, especially Sufism, as shown by the growing of society enthusiasm to Sufism. The Sufism as a dimention of spiritual in Islam need to be actualized in arranging this modern life so that it will be able to place human being on the stage “ummatan wasathan” namely. People residing in the middle of, far from extreme materialism attitude and of extreme spirituality
