English teaching and learning process analysis in accordance with the 2013 indonesian curriculum

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed at anlysing the implementation of teaching and learning process as one of the standard of process parts in the 2013 Indonesian Curriculum. The research is appropriately undertaken as a qualitative research with a case study approach. The site for this study is one school located in Jambi, Indonesia. Three English teacherswere involved as the participants.The researcher usedthree kinds of instruments in collecting the data; interview, observation, and document review. The researcherconducted the observation, interviewed the teachers, and collected related documents to support the data.To assess the trustworthiness of the research, triangulation, member checking, and reflexivity are used.The findings describe the analysis of the implementation of teaching and learning process which are classified into three themes (introductory, core, and closing activities). Each theme represents some sub-themes.Suggestionsand recommendation are proposedrespectively for the betterment of Indonesian education.
