POLA PENGEMBANGAN WAWASAN MULTIKULTURAL DI MA’HAD DARUL ARQAM MUHAMMADIYAH KAB. GARUT

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengethaui pola pengemabnagan wawasan multikultural , untuk mengtahui proses pengemabangan wawasan multikulktural serta untuk mengethaui faktor pendukung dan penghambat pengembnagan wawasan multikultural di Ma’had Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Garut Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subyek penelitian meliputi pimpinan pesantren, ustadz, santri dan stakeholder pesantren. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, interview dan telaah dokumen. Adapun uji kebsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data sedangkan teknik analisis datanya memakai analsiis interaktif miles dan Huberman yakni reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data atau kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola pengembangan wawasan multikultural menggunakan pendekatan reward dan punishment. Sedangkan proses pengemabnagan wawasan multikultural memakai tahapan formal dan informal, adpun faktor pendukung dan penghambat pengemabnagn wawasan di Ma’had darul Arqam meliputi spirit kebinekaan merupakan hal yang mendasar, hidup bersama para santri di asrama cukup kondusif untuk mengaplikasikan multikultural, adanya keseimbangan antara teori dan praktek dan sudah terintegrasi dalam mata pelajaran. Adapun faktor pengambatnya antara lain tidak semua guru memahami konsep multikulural dengan baik dan belum terbentuknya pola pikir terbuka dikalangan pesantren. This research aims to explore the pattern of multicultural insight development, to seek the process of multicultural insight development, and to find out the supporting as well as inhibiting factors in the multicultural insight development in Ma’had Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah, Garut Regency, West Java. This research applies qualitative method. The subjects of the research are leaders, instructors, pupils, and stakeholders of the Islamic boarding school. Data are collected by using observation, interview, and documentary study. While the validity of the data is tested through data triangulation, data analysis is carried out by applying Miles and Huberman interactive analysis viz. data reduction, data presentation, and data verification or conclusion. The result shows that the pattern of multicultural insight development uses reward and punishment approach. The process of multicultural insight development involves formal and informal phase. Supporting factors of insight development are basic diversity spirit, conducive environment, and the presence of integrated theory and practice in learning courses. Meanwhile the inhibiting factors are the fact that not all of the instructors well-understand the concept of multicultural and the fact that the Islamic boarding school has not yet established an open mindset.
